At Auckland Council we’re creating beautiful spaces in our uniquely Tāmaki Makaurau city centre, woven with cultural expression. We’re also bringing FREE performances, light installations, music and many other activations to add energy and delight to our spaces.
Fridays and Saturdays in May saw the highest consistent numbers of people coming to the city centre - Karangahape Road to the waterfront - since before Auckland’s August 2021 lockdown.
The shortlist for the 2022 New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Awards includes twelve projects delivered by the Auckland Council group - Auckland Transport, Eke Panuku and Auckland Council.
