Personality:
Ariel hasn’t had the easiest start to life, but you would never know it from the way this lovely girl throws herself into life. She has had a full vet check and is now on a plan to help her reach a healthy weight, while we keep an eye on a few minor cuts and scrapes. Through it all, Ariel has remained affectionate, resilient and absolutely determined to make up for lost time. She craves the spotlight and wants to be involved in everything you do, whether that means following you around, leaning in for affection or resting her head on you during quiet moments. She is highly food motivated, loves a good game of fetch and can’t resist a fun play with her soft toys.
Tamariki – 5+ and dog savvy as she is a big girl.
Cats – Ok with cats with proper intros and supervision.
Kūri – Can be high energy but friendly. Proper intros and supervision required.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 26.5kgs and is fully grown. She is still working up to her ideal weight.
Ideal home:
Ariel is looking for a home with some dog experience, where she can have kind but consistent boundaries, ongoing training and plenty of positive guidance. Give her the structure she needs alongside the love she so clearly craves, and we think this special girl will truly blossom. She may not have had the start she deserved, but with the right person by her side, Ariel can finally discover just how wonderful life can be.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
