Personality:
Awassi is a gentle, soft hearted girl who likes to take the world in before jumping in, she is the definition of quiet charm. She is observant and thoughtful, often happiest when she can stay close to her person and take comfort in their presence. With time, patience, and exposure to new environments, Awassi will blossom! Watching her come out of her shell is something truly special, and the bond you will build with her will be one that is deep, trusting, and incredibly rewarding.
Tamariki – 5+ as needs confidence building and some minor food guarding behaviours.
Cats – fearful of the shelter cat. Ok with cats provided proper intros and training.
Kūri – Friendly. needs further socialisation due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 2.4kgs. Likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
Awassi would thrive in a home with someone who has previous dog experience and is ready to provide gentle training, confidence building, and socialisation. She will benefit from being taken out and about to explore the world at her own pace. A calm, patient home where her quirks are celebrated and her little victories are cheered on will help her truly blossom. She would especially love a person who enjoys quiet moments together, whether it’s cosy cuddles or simply sharing the view from a sunny window – a home where love is consistent and adventures are gentle is where Awassi will truly shine.
A sprinkle of patience a dash of love and Awassi will become your cuddle buddy for life.
