Personality:

 

Badger is our little nap queen! She is still a little shy  but when she does warm up to you, she absolutely shines! She is learning how to play, so far tennis balls are toy #1. 

 

Tamariki – Any age provided proper intros and supervision.
Cats – Seemed uninterested in the shelter cat.

Kūri – Minimal contact so far but seems interested and social.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 2.4kgs. Likely to mature medium to large in size.

 

Ideal home:

 

Badger is a happy go lucky pup who would do well in most households. A home that prioritises ongoing training and enrichment would be ideal. We highly recommend puppy training and ongoing socialisation with both dogs and people to help her come out of her shell more and build confidence.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
