Black Beauty
About Black Beauty
- Labrador Retriever, Australian Kelpie
- Female
- Good with children
- 1 year
- Can live with other dogs
- Henderson Animal Shelter
Black Beauty is a sweet and sensitive soul who takes a little time to warm up to new people and environments, but once she feels safe her affectionate and playful personality starts to shine through. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a calm, confident canine companion to help show her the ropes and build her confidence.
She is an active Lab x Kelpie with plenty of energy to burn, so she will need a home committed to giving her the physical exercise and mental enrichment she needs to thrive. Once she has had a chance to burn off some energy, she settles beautifully and loves spending time with her people.
Tamariki – Older children 10+ or an adult only home, as she can be shy and needs calm, respectful interactions while she builds trust and confidence.
Cats – Untested.
Kūri – Social with other dogs and could do well living with a confident dog companion.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Medium to large size, fully grown.
Ideal home:
Black Beauty is looking for a patient and understanding whānau who can continue building her confidence at her pace. She would suit an active home that enjoys walks, adventures and enrichment activities to help keep her busy mind occupied.
With kindness, consistency and time, she will reward her new family with loyalty, affection and plenty of goofy, loveable moments as her true personality continues to blossom.
