Personality:
Dame is a happy girl with a gentle soul and a heart that takes a little time to open. Life has not always been kind to her, so she can be a little wary at times, but once she knows she can trust you, her lovely personality shines through. She is a true people pleaser who loves affection, playtime and being close to her favourite humans. Give her a little patience and she will give you a whole lot of love in return.
Tamariki – 10+ as she is a big girl and is learning to fully trust again.
Cats – Ok with cats with correct intros and training. She is generally uninterested in them.
Kūri – Not overly interested in other dogs, gives them a quick sniff then heads off for a nap.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 24.9kgs and is fully grown.
Ideal home:
Dame is looking for a home that understands she is, quite obviously, royalty. She would love a family who will continue her training, keep her clever mind entertained and give her plenty of positive experiences. She enjoys getting out for walks and exploring the world, but she is also at least 50% couch potato, so there will need to be plenty of time allocated to lounging, relaxing and generally being adored.
Every Dame deserves her castle. She is just waiting for someone to offer her the couch, the cuddles and the royal treatment she so richly deserves.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
