Personality:

 

Everglade is a spunky little character with a huge personality packed into a small, fluffy body. Full of energy and charm, he absolutely thrives on attention, toys, and being part of the action. Whether he is zooming around, showing off his playful antics, or soaking up pats, Everglade is guaranteed to keep you smiling and entertained every single day.

 

Tamariki – Dog savvy 5+ due to his boisterous nature.
Cats – No cats. Will chase.

Kūri – Friendly with dogs but does need further socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 8.4kgs and is fully grown.

This cheeky lad is looking for an active, experienced home that can give him guidance, ongoing training, and clear boundaries to help him grow into the best version of himself. He would love a confident older dog to show him the ropes and share in the fun, making every day an adventure together. With the right support, Everglade is going to shine.

If Everglade sounds like the perfect fit for your home, we’d love to hear from you. Just contact the Pukekohe team to arrange to meet. To apply, simply email the Pukekohe team with the dog’s name and a completed application form (PDF 855kb)

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
