Personality:
Gisborne is a sweet but shy puppy who needs work on building up his confidence. He is still a bit scared of the world but looks to people for re-assurance. We have been doing some work with him and now, with a little encouragement, it is getting easier to lure him into situations that he finds difficult and he is overcoming it easily. We have no doubt that in the right home, he will flourish.
Tamariki – 10+ as he needs a slow, steady environment.
Cats – Scared of the shelter cat.
Kūri – Unsure of other dogs, needs ongoing socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 13.5kgs. Likely to mature medium sized.
Ideal home:
Gisborne isn’t looking for just any home, he’s looking for the right one.
This gorgeous boy will need more than just basic dog experience, ideally someone with a solid understanding of training and behaviour who can confidently support his ongoing development.
He is also looking for someone who is kind and patient that can help him navigate new experiences, while also providing clear boundaries and structure without babying him. Ongoing socialisation, training and confidence building will be an essential part of helping him succeed in his new home.
Are you the right home to bring this sweet boy out of his shell?
