Personality:
Manatee is a soft, sweet young pup. She loves her soft toys, love and affection. She is still learning about the big wide world so does still need some encouragement and reassurance that she is safe.
Tamariki – 10+ while she builds her confidence.
Cats – Seems uninterested in the shelter cats.
Kūri – Shy but interested to meet. Ongoing socialisation needed.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 2.3kgs but is likely to mature medium - large in size.
Ideal home:
We recommend puppy school for this little lass and when vaccinated, ongoing socialisation and new experiences will be important for her. She would love a home with another dog to play with or older, dog savvy kids.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
