Personality:
Pumba is a gentle old soul with a heart of gold who is ready to spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort. This handsome Lab x Pit Bull boy absolutely adores people and will happily soak up all the attention you have to offer. His tail never seems to stop wagging when he's with his humans, and if there's food involved, you'll have a friend for life!
Sadly, Pumba hasn't always had the care he deserved and is looking for a family who can show him what it truly means to be loved. Despite his past, he has remained incredibly friendly, trusting, and affectionate. He enjoys the company of calm, older dogs and is content to simply relax by your side after a good meal and a few pats.
Tamariki – Best suited to a home with no children or older, respectful teenagers.
Cats – Not interested in cats.
Kūri – Enjoys the company of calm, older dogs.
Stock/Poultry – Untested.
Size – Large.

Pumba is searching for a peaceful home where he can enjoy the quieter side of life. He would love a family who understands that senior dogs deserve just as much adventure, comfort, and affection as any youngster. A warm bed, regular meals, gentle walks, and plenty of TLC are all this lovely boy asks for.
He would thrive with people who are happy to let him settle in at his own pace and spoil him with the love he's been missing. Whether he's enjoying a leisurely stroll, sharing a quiet afternoon in the sun, or waiting patiently for his next snack, Pumba will be a loyal and grateful companion.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
