About Red Rum

Personality:

 

Red Rum is a gentle pup that warms up slowly but loves being around others and always likes to be involved. She has great zoomie potential and would do well with a doggie sibling to show her the ropes.

 

Tamariki – 10+ preferred while she builds confidence. 
Cats – Scared of the shelter cat.

Kūri – Friendly and keen to meet, needs ongoing socialisation due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 2.8kgs. Likely to mature medium to large in size.

 

Ideal home:

 

This lovely girl is looking for a home that will cherish her and include her on life's many adventures. She is still learning the basics of how to be a dog and would benefit from puppy training and ongoing socialisation. A home with previous dog experience is preferred.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
