Personality:
Richie McCaw is a lovely boy with an adventurous spirit and a curious nature. He enjoys exploring his surroundings, investigating new sights and smells, and seeing what the world has to offer. As his confidence has grown, so has his playful and engaging personality, and it has been a real privilege watching him come out of his shell.
Tamariki – 16+ as he needs consistency and training.
Cats – Ok with cats provided training and supervision.
Kūri – Friendly. Needs ongoing socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 5.5kgs. Likely to mature medium - large in size.
Ideal home:
Richie is looking for an experienced home that can continue the great progress he has made while in our care. He arrived as a very shut down young dog with some resource guarding behaviours around food. Through dedicated training, consistency and plenty of positive experiences, Richie has made incredible strides and continues to impress us with how far he has come. His future family will need to be committed to ongoing training and management to help him maintain these skills and continue building his confidence. In return, they will gain a smart, capable young dog who is eager to keep learning and growing.
Richie has already proven how much he can achieve with the right support. Now he just needs a team of his own to keep cheering him on.
