Personality:

 

She might be smol but she sure is playful! Squirrel is fun, cheeky and inquisitive, making her a great playmate for a new whānau. She will play tug with a rope and is learning about fetch but can confirm that tennis balls are great fun to chase!

 

Tamariki – Any age providing correct intros and supervision.
Cats – Seems uninterested in the shelter cats.

Kūri – Has had limited interactions but is interested and friendly.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 3.1kgs. Likely to mature medium to large.

 

Ideal home:

 

Squirrel would love a home where she can be part of the action, enjoy a good play session then snuggle in your lap. Puppy school and ongoing socialisation will be important for a pup her age so someone willing to commit to this would be ideal.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
