About Te Waihou

  • Siberian Husky, Cross
  • Female
  • 3 months
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

Te Waihou is a live wire. She is full of energy but is actually really engaged and uses her brain, which, for a puppy her age is really impressive. She loves to show off her sitting skills and is food and toy driven. We think she could be really well suited to obedience training or similar. She is confident, independent and loves playtime with her toys.

Tamariki – 16+ as she is showing some food guarding behaviour which is being worked on at the shelter.
Cats – No cats, she has a husky prey drive.

Kūri – Interested to meet them all, needs to learn good etiquette.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 5.5kgs. Likely to mature medium to large.

Ideal home:

This girl needs a home that will commit to further training, socialisation and enrichment. She has a wonderfully clever mind and needs to use it every day. A home with previous husky or high energy dog experience is preferred to ensure she is well supported to be the best dog she can be. She is working on food resource guarding so a new owner that is committed to continuing this training is important.

Te Waihou is ready to bring endless joy to her new owner, whether that’s in everyday home life or taking obedience and training to the next level. Are you ready?
