About Thresher (ON HOLD)

  • Standard Poodle, Labrador Retriever
  • Male
  • Good with children
  • 1 year and 6 months
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

Thresher is a gentle, sweet natured boy with a heart full of love. While he can be a little nervous at first and may startle easily, he bounces back quickly with a kind word and some reassurance. His favourite place is right by your side, soaking up cuddles and enjoying your company. He is much more interested in people than toys and would happily trade a game for some quality time with his favourite humans.

His coat is not in the best condition, he will be getting a groom as soon as he if fully recovered from desexing.

Tamariki – 10+ while he builds confidence.
Cats – No cats.

Kūri – Friendly but can be a bit rude on first meet, we are working on some good manners.
Stock/poultry – No stock or poultry.
Size – Currently 18.1kgs and is fully grown.

Ideal home:

Thresher is looking for a home that understands the grooming needs, coat maintenance, and unique personality traits that come with a poodle cross. Positive, ongoing training and confidence building will help him continue to grow into a happy, well rounded dog. Good boundaries will be just as important as affection, as Thresher will benefit from learning independence and confidence rather than being mollycoddled. With the right balance of love, guidance, and consistency, this handsome lad will truly thrive.

Could Thresher be the missing piece your family has been waiting for?!
