Personality:

 

Tongariro is full of charm and treats are his weakness. He will sit for you every time you look at him, hoping for a tasty reward. He is intelligent and ready to learn new tricks. He is part energiser bunny and part couch potato. Cuddles and affection are nice, but trets are better!

 

Tamariki – 10+ as can still be puppy mouthy and needs to learn some boundaries with this.
Cats – Uninterested in shelter cat.

Kūri – Keen to meet them, needs further socialisation due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested. 
Size – Currently 7.1kgs. Likely to mature large in size.

 

Ideal home:

 

This guy is happy go lucky and just wants to hang out with you. We recommend ongoing training, he is super smart and food orientated so this should be a breeze. He will need a moderate level of exercise and enrichment to keep him happy and balanced.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
