Sub10 Ara Lodge 348 I.C. Heritage Walk

Masonic traditions have long been shrouded in mystery and conspiracy theories abound…

Join us for a walking tour through the heart of Auckland city’s heritage precinct. You’ll hear about past members of the Masons, including many important historical figures in the formation of modern Aotearoa New Zealand. The walk ends with a behind-the-scenes tour of New Zealand’s oldest Masonic lodge, Ara Lodge 348 I.C.

Leading politicians, famous artists (including Charles Heaphy) and important architects (such as Draffin, who designed the lodge and the Auckland War Memorial Museum) were all members here.

Grab this rare opportunity to explore one of Auckland’s most interesting heritage buildings, usually off-limits to the general public!
