People First NZ local group meetings are for people with learning disabilities to come together, connect, and speak up for themselves. Our monthly meetings are a safe, welcoming, and supportive space, led by members.

At our meetings you can:

  • Learn about speaking up for yourself
  • Find out what’s happening in your local community
  • Join short learning sessions on topics that matter to you
  • Get support to share your opinions and experiences
  • Meet new people, make friends, and have fun
  • Build confidence and take on leadership roles

Meetings are relaxed and inclusive. You can come along to listen, join discussions, or just get to know people at your own pace.

Local group meetings run monthly across:
• Auckland Central
• West Auckland
• South Auckland
• Franklin
