Come together this Matariki to weave your own harakeke (flax) star and celebrate the season with creativity and connection.
We’ll begin with a simple waiata to gently guide our time together. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about the history, use and importance of harakeke and learn the tikanga that sits around harvesting and weaving.
This is a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you can slow down, try something new and connect with others as we reflect on the stars of Matariki. We’ll wrap up with a shared morning tea - a chance to enjoy some kai and good company.
