Join us this Matariki to plant native plants along the Whau Awa!
Put on your gumboots and let’s turn a streambank into a thriving habitat. The new plants will be enjoyed by native birds and critters, as well as people passing along the shared path.
Kids welcome, but must be supervised. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring your raincoat and gardening gloves.
The place we’re planting is near where the Waitahurangi Stream meets the Whau. Access is behind Daily Bread – a two-minute ride or 12-minute walk from New Lynn Transport Centre.
Funded by the Whau Local Board and Whau Wildlink.
