Dying Matters Week (7-13 September 2026) connects people across Aotearoa to start conversations in a safe space, learn from local experts and seek support to get affairs in order and navigate grief or loss.
Here in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland Council Libraries is proud to be hosting events for Dying Matters Week in collaboration with Honohono Tātou Katoa: Creating Compassionate Communities Trust and Mercy Hospice Te Korowai Atawhai.
Join us at local libraries across Auckland to take part in a wide range of events, including:
- hands-on workshops
- presentations from experts in end-of-life, grief and death-care
- resources and information from local businesses
- curated displays of books on grief and dying
- Death Cafes.
