Join us for a special behind-the-scenes that goes 'behind the ropes'. Visit parts of Highwic the public do not usually see and view objects normally in storage.
Starting with a cup of tea and freshly made scones, staff will introduce the history of Highwic and the Buckland family, who lived here from the 1860s to the 1970s, then lead you on a tour of the house, highlighting stories and objects on display, including two handwritten recipe books dating from the late 1800s.
This tour, limited to 12 people, includes information on the family and architecture, along with highlights from the art and decorative art collections.
