Ozi Ozaa
Yaw Asumadu, a Ghanaian master musician, moved to New Zealand in 2018 and has formed the new band Ozi Ozaa – a huge band packed full of funk and jazz with sweet highlife and traditional African rhythms.
Members have previously played in Kiwi acts such as Batucada Sound Machine, Tahuna Breaks, The Scribes of Ra, and Ijebu Pleasure Club. Yaw and the band have been packing out shows including recent joyful performances at the Auckland Arts Festival, Cuba Dupa, supporting Mad Professor and many others.
