Bridges
Bridges is the artist project of Ōtautahi / Christchurch-born, Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland-based songwriter Rachel Hamilton. Her exciting band peforms a cinematic, hook-laden style of pop with walls of guitars, dreamy synths and massive drums. Bridges’ 2023 debut EP was met with acclaim and featured on MTV, Coup de Main, The Hits, RNZ and more. The single ‘Pills’ quickly gained traction; playlisted on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Pop, The Local List Aotearoa and Fresh Finds AU & NZ.
A four-time, NZ On Air-funded artist, Bridges has been mentored by the award-winning Fazerdaze via APRA AMCOS and also chosen as a showcasing artist at the 2024 Going Global Music Summit. Her 2025 single ‘Close To You’ was named a “Song You Need To Know” by RollingStone AU/NZ and featured on ZM Late Nights.
