Playground review: Something for everyone at Grey Lynn Park
Grey Lynn Park playground.

We’re taking a look at some of Auckland's best playgrounds. This week: Grey Lynn Park, Grosvenor Street, Grey Lynn.

The new and improved Grey Lynn Park playground is the perfect place for kids to stretch their legs and burn off some energy.

What’s on offer?

There's a variety of swings, climbing frames, a balancing log and a flying fox on offer, and the nearby park provides plenty of room to run around, bike or kick a ball. There's ample shade from lots of leafy green trees.

Other features include great accessibility, drinking fountains, picnic tables, public toilets and cycling racks.

More to do

Located next to the playground is a free toddler’s outdoor paddling pool, which is fully fenced and monitored by a trained lifeguard throughout the summer months until late March. See more information.

For the older kids, there’s a skateboarding ramp and a basketball half court to keep them entertained.

At the other end of Grey Lynn Park there is a full basketball court, tennis court, two netball hoops and exercise equipment, making this a park that will not disappoint.
