Meet some of the adorable adoptables available at Auckland’s main animal shelters.
Breed: Lab X
Age: 4 months
Meet me: At the shelter they call me their “little firecracker” because I love to play and am full of energy! I’m especially motivated by food so will do all the tricks if I get a treat.
What about you? I’m looking for an active family that loves to exercise and have extra love to give. If you’re looking for a companion for life, then I’m your girl!
Breed: Labrador X
Age: 2 years
Meet me: I’m a lovable pooch who likes “Netflix and Chill” – if by “Netflix & Chill” you mean relaxing in the sun all day. I love pats and cuddles and if you stop, I’ll give you a paw for some more!
What about you? l would suit a family with older children or an individual looking for a loyal companion. If you love food too – we’ll be the perfect match.
Breed: Cattle X
Age: 3 months
Meet me: I’m a little shy when I meet new people, but it doesn’t take long for my personality to shine! I love to play fetch but will happily throw my toys to keep entertained.
What about you? I’m still just a little puppy so I would need a lot of love and attention and a family with a paw-rent at home with to start with. I would love a young active family to take me home.
Breed: Whippet X Heeler
Age: 8 weeks
Meet me: Just like my name would suggest, I’m an energetic and playful puppy with a thirst for adventure. I love a good snuggle and enjoy chilling out with my siblings.
What about you? You’ll be an experienced dog owner who will want to take me on adventures with you. You might have other dogs already and that’s fine with me – but I will require ongoing training and socialising.
