Drop-in for advice about applying for the council’s advisory panels

Publish Date : 23 Jan 2020

Drop-in sessions are being held at libraries and community centres across Auckland as a way for people interested in the council’s demographic advisory panels to find out more and to talk with staff about these important roles.

The council is currently in the process of recruiting new members for its six demographic advisory panels:

  • Disability Advisory Panel
  • Ethnic Peoples Advisory Panel
  • Pacific Peoples Advisory Panel
  • Rainbow Communities Advisory Panel
  • Seniors Advisory Panel
  • Youth Advisory Panel

Candidates for these advisory panels have the opportunity to provide more information about themselves using the online application process with the drop-in sessions being offered as an alternative way for people who prefer a face to face or discussion or who would prefer not to solely use technology.
