Auckland Council is providing people with the opportunity to contribute to a book of condolence for His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
A condolence book, for people to send messages of support and aroha to the Royal Family, will be available at the Town Hall from 9am tomorrow, Tuesday 13 April.
Condolence books will also be available from Wednesday 14 April at the following service centres:
- Te Pokapū ratonga o Graham Street (Graham Street Service Centre), 35 Graham Street, Auckland Central. Opening Hours: – 8.30am-4.30pm, Monday - Friday
- Te Pokapū ratonga o Manukau (Manukau Service Centre), Kotuku House, 4 Osterley Way, Manukau. Opening Hours: – 8.30am-4.30pm, Monday - Friday

Condolence books will remain in place until close of business Friday 23 April, at which time they will be collected.
Flags at half-mast
In line with guidance from the Ministry for Culture and Heritage, all flags on Auckland Council buildings will be flown at half-mast tomorrow, Tuesday 13 April 2021.
Flags will also fly at half-mast on Saturday 17 April to mark the funeral of His Royal Highness. For locations that aren’t staffed during the weekend, the flag will be lowered to half-mast at the close of business hours Friday 16 April, returning to full-mast at the start of business hours on Monday, 19 April.
Flags on council buildings will be lowered to half-mast on the day of the New Zealand Memorial Service for His Royal Highness.
