Hibiscus and Bays residents will enjoy a range of events over the next three years thanks to funding from the local board.
The board allocated $121,300 from their Event Partnership Fund to eight organisations to run multiple events across Hibiscus and Bays this year with the same amount approved for a further two years subject to certain conditions.
Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Chairperson Alexis Poppelbaum says the board is pleased to partner with event organisers as these events make a positive contribution to the local area while delivering local board plan outcomes.
“Our focus as a local board, is that events are accessible to everyone, encourage participation, and benefit our local area.
“These events do all that and more; they are much-loved by our communities, promote vibrancy and diversity in our area, and draw visitors to our town centres.”
