Music in Parks - Botanic Gardens 2024

Music in Parks presents: NZ Opera at Botanic Gardens Saturday 31 January 2026, 5-7pm 

Opera in the outdoors. Indulge in live classical favourites by the iconic NZ Opera as the sunsets in the stunning Botanic Gardens. Bring along friends and whānau, pack a picnic and make the most of a decadent summer’s evening in Tāmaki Makaurau. More details.

 

 

Music in Parks presents: Kids’ Music Sunday 1 February 2026, 11am-2pm  

This one is for the little people. Get amongst the gardens to see live performances by Anika Moa, Spellodies and Claudia Gunn. Head over to the Botanic Gardens for an unforgettable children’s music experience where they can dance and sing along to New Zealand’s top kids’ artists while you stop and smell the flowers – everyone wins. Catch unforgettable live performances by Tribe of Ope and Idol Essence at Manurewa Rhythms - Friday 13 February, 4-7PM

Manurewa Rhythms Friday 13 February 2026, 4-7pm Manurewa Netball Canopy – 95 Browns Road 

For the first time ever, a live music experience designed by local youth is coming to Manurewa.  

Expect high-energy performances from rising MC, Idol Essence and the dynamic whānau group Tribe of Ope, delivering authentic sounds and unforgettable vibes.

Ones to watch, these rockstars are making a comeback, having been semi-finalists and finalists and winners from past Stand Up Stand Out series and Smokefree Rock Quest. 

This Manurewa Local Board initiative is more than just about music and dance for the kids — it’s about a movement in the making, where young voices lead, talent shines and the community come together in a safe, alcohol-free space. More details.
