Summer is officially calling, and it's time to get your fun sorted!
Thanks to support and funding from Waitākere Ranges Local Board, a fantastic line-up of free activities and community events is ready for you and your whānau!
Take a stroll at Mt Atkinson Park
If you’re after a short neighbourhood walk during summer, the Mt Atkinson Park track is a fantastic option—and dogs are welcome on a leash.
This popular track in the ranges has recently been upgraded with support from Waitākere Ranges Local Board. Walkers can now enjoy new timber boardwalks, steps, improved gravel surfacing and better drainage, making the journey smoother, safer, and more enjoyable.
From the lookout at the summit, you’ll be treated to spectacular views across the Manukau Harbour, with glimpses of the Waitematā Harbour and Auckland CBD in the distance.
So grab the whānau, take a stroll, and enjoy Mt Atkinson today!
