Franklin Arts Centre

About Franklin Arts Centre

Built in 2007 and located in the cultural hub of Pukekohe, Franklin Arts Centre consists of two galleries, a retail shop and a workshop for classes, activities and events.

The New Zealand Steel Gallery is a professionally curated space, which features the work of nationally and internationally known artists in exhibitions, each for a duration of six weeks. The Community Gallery offers a professional art space specifically for local artists, both emerging and experienced, and provides a platform for the sale of their work and the opportunity to develop an understanding of professional art practice. The workshop functions as a rentable space promoting creative activity through direct engagement. Free community activities and events are programmed throughout the year for all ages and abilities to get involved with and learn about the creative arts in Franklin.

Check out our gallery shop as well with a great selection of unique pieces from local artisans including jewellery, textiles, ceramics and much more.
