About Franklin: The Centre
Franklin: The Centre offers a number of community meeting rooms and a recording facility. It is home to the Franklin Library, Information Site and Franklin Arts Centre, which includes The New Zealand Steel Gallery The Community Art Gallery, Weta Workshop and a unique artisan gift shop. With a café on site and located conveniently near the train station with access to local shops, parks.
Our team
Our venue hire team is available Monday to Thursday from 8am to 6.30pm and Friday from 9am to 4.30pm.
Venue hire
The venue has six flexible meeting rooms and three activity rooms, suitable for a range of activities. The large, fully equipped kitchen facility can be booked on its own or connected to the adjacent room, and the doors opened to make one large room with the kitchen at one end. Some hirers also request opening one divider so they can access the kitchen through this extra door. Franklin:The Centre can be booked from 5am to midnight, 7 days a week, including public holidays.
