Matakawau War Memorial Community Centre

About Matakawau War Memorial Community Centre

Matakawau War Memorial Hall is a rural hall opened in October 1950, and still serves the local community in picturesque Āwhitu today. Matakawau War Memorial Hall was originally built by volunteers with donated materials from the local area. Continuous support and donations from the community have allowed the hall to grow to meet the needs of the community for over 70 years.
