About Sunnynook Community Centre

Sunnynook Community Centre provides a warm welcoming environment for people of all ages and cultures. Embracing and celebrating the diversity of the Sunnynook community. The centre provides accessible and affordable opportunities for people to come together, make friends, learn, contribute, and participate in their local community. The centre is situated on the corner of Sunnynook Road and Sycamore Drive on the North Shore. Attached to the centre is an early childhood centre that runs kids and school holiday programmes.

Venue hire

Sunnynook Community Centre is available for hire with purpose-built rooms, the centre can cater for groups up to 120 people. The centre provides numerous classes and activities that cater for people of all ages and cultures. With wooden and polyurethane floors in the larger room, these are great as dance studios, with ballet bars also located on the walls. Sunnynook Community Centre is equipped with tables and chairs and a kitchen for a self-catering option, and there is plenty of off-street parking available also. 

Sunnynook Community Centre also cares for the Kennedy Point Observation post in Castor Bay. This historic location can be hired out for children’s birthday parties and other activities.
