CAB (Citizen Advice Bureau)
Located in many town centres across the city, often located next to a library, the CAB provides free and confidential advice and information on many aspects of life in New Zealand, such as government services or legal rights and responsibilities.
You can call in, visit their website for information, or call CAB free on 0800 367 222 for confidential help. CAB staff and volunteers can help with:
- Immigration processes and application forms
- Advice on legal rights and responsibilities in New Zealand
- Information on employment, including writing a CV
- Information on housing and settlement support, including tenancy rights and help settling into your community
- Information for families, to connect with community organisations, education and services.
- Justice of the Peace services during select times (also available at some Auckland Libraries).
