Enrol with a doctor
Learn about why you should enrol and find a doctor in your neighbourhood on the Asian, migrant and refugee health section of the Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora website.
Contact the centre or clinic to ask if you can enrol your family members – this will reduce the cost for each visit.
Did you know? Children under the age of 14 years can usually visit the doctor they are enrolled with for free.

If you are over 18 years of age, you will need to pay for dental care.
For more information, visit the Auckland Regional Dental Service.
In case of accident or injury
If you have an accident or injure yourself, the cost of treatment will generally be partially covered by the government. ACC (Accident Compensation Cover) provides treatment cover for everyone who gets injured in an accident in Aotearoa New Zealand.
To make a claim to ACC, you need to be treated by a doctor, physiotherapist, or emergency provider. They will fill in the right form with you to register your claim.
To find out more, visit ACC.
