  1. Set small goals

Make a list of your goals and break them down into small achievable steps. Having a plan helps you have clarity on what you want to achieve and what support you might need/

  1. Do something you enjoy

As the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun. If you do something that you enjoy, you are more likely to stick at it.

  1. Workout with a buddy

Exercising with a buddy or as part of a group will enhance your motivation to get active and achieve your fitness goals.

“Working out together helps you have more fun, commitment, motivation and resilience, which ultimately helps you to achieve better results,” says Auckland Council Leisure fitness lead Ritua Ali’iva’a.
