Personality:

Aoraki is really something special. She really wants to love and be loved but has clearly not had the best start to life. She can be a little nervous and is head shy but still looks to humans for comfort and reassurance. She has a playful personality, LOVES butt scratches and pulls the most adorable face when you hit the right spot!

Tamariki – 15+ as she needs to build trust and confidence through calm interactions and consistency.
Cats – No cats, will chase.

Kūri – She is social but lacks manners and wants to be in other dogs space so proper and controlled intros needed.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 28.5kgs and is fully grown.

Ideal home:

Aoraki needs a quieter home that can slow things down and work with her to re-build her trust and confidence. An experienced home that will continue with training and providing a good level of exercise is a must. In return, she will shower you with all the love and affection she has and delight you with her goofy personality!

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

Vet check
First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
Microchipping
De-sexing
Registration
Bath
Flea and worm treatment
1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
