About Batman

  • Labrador Retriever
  • Male
  • Good with children
  • 1 year and 8 months
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

Food is this guy’s ultimate love, with toys coming in a very close second. He adores his humans, but if you’re holding a toy, you instantly become the centre of his world. He carries his toys proudly, tosses them around, and keeps himself happily entertained, all while giving the sweetest little nudges for attention. He is playful, clever, full of charm and is ready to fill a home with laughter, cuddles, and a few well-earned treats.

Tamariki – 5+ due to his energy levels.
Cats – Not yet assessed.

Kūri – He is a bit rude and lacks manners when meeting. This is being worked on at the shelter to help him with this.
Stock/poultry – Not tested.
Size – Currently 32.8kgs and is fully grown.

Ideal home:

Batman would thrive in an active home with experienced owners or a home that enjoys training and scent work. He responds best to consistent boundaries and guidance. He means well when meeting other dogs, but is still learning how to interact properly so someone to help him with this will be important. With patience, socialisation and ongoing training, he will continue to grow into the confident companion he can be.

Can you give this playful, food-loving guy the home he’s been dreaming of? Come meet him and let him steal your heart today!
