About Cheviot

  • Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Shar Pei
  • Female
  • Good with children
  • 4 months
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

Cheviot is a gorgeous golden girl with a look that keeps you guessing, showing hints of staffy, labrador, sharpei and pitbull depending on the angle of her head. Whatever the mix, she truly feels like the best of all worlds wrapped into one beautiful bundle. She loves playing with toys, especially soft ones, and will happily enjoy a good game of fetch with her people. Her playful side can get a little excitable at times, but it is all part of her fun loving nature and zest for life.

Tamariki – 10+ as she can be a little excitable but is working on this.
Cats – No cats, very interested and likely to chase.

Kūri – Very vocal when first meeting, needs further socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 9.45kgs and is likely to mature large in size.

Ideal home:

Cheviot would thrive in a home with some previous dog experience, where she can be guided with consistent training and clear, gentle boundaries. Her playful, excitable nature means she will benefit from someone who can channel her energy in a positive way and help her learn when to settle. With the right guidance, she will grow into a well mannered, happy companion who brings plenty of fun and love to her home.

Life with Cheviot is never dull... She’s looking for someone ready for fun, love and a little bit of mischief 😁
