About Libra

Personality:

Libra is a big sook at heart. She wants to be close to her people and with you by her side, she is keen to explore and experience new things. She loves her toy and will engage in solo play but if you are there, she will bring the toys to your feet to play.

 

 

Tamariki – Dog savvy kids, 5+ while she builds her trust and confidence.
Cats – Interested, would likely chase.

Kūri – She is shy but friendly. Needs more socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 16.5kgs. Likely to mature medium to large in size.

 

Ideal home:

We are dreaming of a home with space for her to run and one that understands the needs of a working breed dog. She will need an active lifestyle with enrichment and engagement to keep her clever brain busy. Ongoing socialisation with dogs and further training will be beneficial for her.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
