About Moose

  • Labrador Retriever
  • Male
  • Good with children
  • 11 months
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Henderson Animal Shelter

Personality:

This big goofy boy is everything you’d expect from a young chocolate lab just with his own unique twist. At around 10–12 months old, he’s still very much a pup, with a playful, bouncy nature and a whole lot of love to give.

He can be a little aloof at first, but once he warms up, he’s incredibly sweet and enjoys being around people. He loves attention and will happily soak up any affection you’re willing to give. Unlike most labs, he isn’t overly food-driven, but he makes up for it with his gentle nature and eagerness to be part of the family.

Tamariki – 10+ as he doesn’t quite realise his size yet and can be a bit of a bull in a china shop when excited.
Cats – Unknown at this stage.
Kūri – Good with other dogs and would likely benefit from a confident dog companion.
Stock/poultry – Unknown.
Size – Large, still growing into himself.

Ideal home:

We’re looking for a home that understands he’s still a young dog learning the ropes. He’ll need ongoing guidance, structure, and training to help him become a well-mannered adult. A home with another friendly dog could be a great match, helping build his confidence and burn off that puppy energy.

He would suit a family or owner who can give him time, patience, and plenty of positive experiences. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving, and wonderfully goofy companion who just wants to be part of your world.

Are you ready to welcome this big, lovable goofball into your home?
