About Moss

  • Shar Pei, Cross
  • Male
  • 4 years
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Can live with cats
  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

Mr Moss is looking for a quieter home where he can take life at his own pace. He’s a gentle soul who seems a little low in confidence and is still learning how to relax and just be a dog. The moment he’s given a blanket, though, everything changes. Suddenly he’s rolling around, doing the cutest tummy slides and enjoying himself, so blankets will definitely be a must in his future home.

Tamariki – Best with no kids. 16+ as he wants the quiet/slower life.
Cats – Uninterested in shelter cats.

Kūri – Not really interested in other dogs, has a sniff then goes on his way.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 27.4kgs and is fully grown.

Ideal home:

His ideal home is a calm, loving environment where he can feel safe and truly settle in. He deserves someone who will give him the care and affection he may never have experienced before. Understanding the Shar Pei breed is important, especially keeping an eye on his eyes and skin and being prepared to give a little extra attention if needed. A patient home that moves at his pace, celebrates his little victories, and provides plenty of cozy blankets will help him flourish into the confident, happy dog he’s capable of being.

Mr Moss may take life at his own pace, but his love and cuddles are worth the wait... could you be his forever blanket buddy?
