Personality:
Salsa is cool, calm and collected. She loves her tennis ball and a good smoosh with you. She is the runt of the litter but doesn't let this slow her down.
Tamariki – 5+ due to puppy behaviours.
Cats – Seems uninterested in the shelter cat.
Kūri – Friendly. Needs ongoing socialisation due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 1.6kgs. Likely to mature medium to large in size.
Ideal home:
We are looking for a kind, caring home that will priortise ongoing training and socialisation.
In accordance with the Dog Control Act 1996, Salsa will be classified as Menacing by Breed and will need to adhere to the conditions attached to this.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
