About Thistle

  • American Staffordshire Terrier, Cross
  • Male
  • Good with children
  • 4 months
  • Can live with cats
  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

This playful pup loves nothing more than zoomies with his soft toys and is full of energy and personality. He’s looking for a loving family or companion who will cherish him just as much as he will them, and who is ready to share plenty of fun, cuddles, and adventures together.

Tamariki – 10+ due to puppy behaviours and need for more socialisation.
Cats – Interested in the cats. Could work with a confident cat and proper training.

Kūri – Can be a bit stiff/assertive with other dogs, needs more socialisation and correct intros. (Being worked on at the shelter too)
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 14.7kgs. Likely to mature large in size.

Ideal home:

This little one would thrive in an experienced home that can offer ongoing training and plenty of time dedicated to socialisation. He needs someone patient and committed, who can help build his confidence, guide him with gentle consistency, and give him the structure and support he needs to flourish into the happy, well-rounded dog he’s capable of being.

This sweetie’s heart is ready, his is just missing a whānau to call his very own!
