Personality:
Valais would thrive in a home with someone willing to invest time and patience into her training and socialisation. The effort put in during her puppy phase will pay off with a confident, well-behaved companion for years to come. A home with some dog experience is preferred, so she can be guided with gentle consistency as she grows into her best self.
Tamariki – 5+ as some mouthy and some minor food guarding behaviours
Cats – Interested in shelter cat, confident cats and training needed.
Kūri – Friendly. Needs ongoing socialisation due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 3.1kgs. Likely to mature medium to large in size.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
