Personality:

 

Zabeel is a very affectionate pup that loves playing with his toys, even more so if you are involved. He has been with his sibling for most of his life so needs some confidence building when alone. He is food motivated and keen to learn.

 

Tamariki – 10+ as he is working on his behaviour around food.
Cats – Barked at shelter cat, confident cats only.

Kūri – Boisterous and keen to meet. Need 
Stock/poultry – Not tested
Size – Currently8.7kgs. Likely to mature medium to large.

 

Ideal home:

 

We are looking for a dog savvy home that can help with training, boundaries and food handling. A confident dog in the household would really help Zabeel come out of his shell. He needs typical puppy training, confidence building and ongoing socialisation.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
