Dying Matters Week_2xln33ga.png

The Whangaparāoa Death Café Team is bringing Dying Matters Week to Whangaparāoa Library with specialist panels and drop in stations.

Dying Matters Week is a national initiative about encouraging and supporting people in the community to embrace conversations about death and dying. Throughout the week, you will have the opportunity to learn from people working in the “death space” as you think about planning for your own end-of-life journey and death.

Sessions include panel discussions with representatives from Hospice, Age Concern, Auckland Memorial Park & Cemetery, The Legal Team, funeral directors, end-of-life doulas, and celebrants. There will also be the opportunity to attend a special drop-in session for one-on-one discussions.

Event Schedule:

Monday, 5 August 2024 from 12pm to 1pm | Specialist panel discussion

Thursday, 8 August 2024 from 1pm to 2pm | Specialist panel discussion

Thursday, 8 August 2024 from 3pm to 4:30pm | Specialist 1:1 drop-in station

Sunday, 11 August 2024 from 12pm to 1pm | Specialist panel discussion

All are welcome!
