Come and join local volunteers and get involved in some amazing restoration of an important freshwater habitat. We would love your help to remove invasive weeds that are choking native plants. Don't know your weeds from native plants? No problem at all - we'll give you all the guidance you need and there will be jobs for everyone.
This is a family friendly event but we are working in nature and next to running water so we ask that little people get properly supervised by the adult that joins them.
Be prepared to get a bit muddy and dirty so wear some clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting some wear and tear. If you have gardening gloves that's great but we will have some you can use.
The session will start at 10am with a safety briefing and a chat about the work available and then we may split into groups to work at a few sites. Typical work we will be doing includes weeding, litter picking and clearing waterways.
This is a totally FREE event, we just ask that give your time and energy to help us restore this lovely park.
